Cheryl Started Her Career in Dog Grooming In 1997 as an apprentice for Richard Barker one of the UK's Top Dog groomers of his Time. It was a Work Experience Placement from college that got Cheryl hooked on dog grooming and from there she was offered a job and trained while she worked.

After 8 year Cheryl decided it was time she stood on her own two feet and decided to open Le Chien in 2005.

Many of Le Chien's clients have watched Cheryl progress from a young business owner and then become a mother to her 2 children Jessica and Bobby and her Eldest Step Daughter Daisy.

Cheryl Says ' Showing My Children if they work Hard and believe in themselves they can achieve what ever they desire in Life'

Cheryls achievements have gone from strength to strength as she entered the world of Dog Grooming Competitions.

Winning Several 1st places and Best groomer in Show In the UK and in Europe Has Lead to her biggest Career achievement to date when she was selected as 1 of 4 members of Groom Team England in 2018 and again in 2020.

She has some heavily decorated Trophy Cabinets on display in the Salon. 

Cheryl Keenly Encourages her Staff to Compete along with her at these events up and down the country .

When Cheryl is not working she spends her time with her family enjoying her children and Showing her dogs. Cheryl Owns 'Clouseau' a Standard Poodle And 'Gin' a Kerry Blue Terrier.

Kris

Kris joined Le Chien in 2017 And She has been such an asset the salon.

Kris has 24 Years of Dog Grooming Experience under her belt. She started out in 1995 when she enrolled on a 2 yr YTS animal care course, Kris always knew she wanted to work with animals but could decide in which sector.

 

After completing her youth training scheme Kris Landed her first job at an English Setter show kennels where she cared for and groomed the Family's 11 show dogs.

​

she then made the bold move to Denmark where she worked for a larger show kennels caring for Petite Basset Griffon Vendeen's, Basset Hounds and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Kris got home sick and returned to the UK and completed a 3 month dog Grooming Course and this opened the doors to her then being employed for the next 17 years for a great Dog grooming Salon in Feltham.

in 2017 Kris wanted a change and found Le Chien were recruiting and we are so proud and Lucky to have her as part of our Special Team.

Since Joining Le Chien Kris has also enjoyed Competing at several Dog grooming events and has also Showed she has what it takes winning 1st places at national Dog grooming event with Poodles and English Cocker Spaniels.

Nelliemay

Junior stylist

Nelliemay Joined us in 2018 to complete her Level 2 introduction to dog grooming Apprenticeship and after completing her grooming Course she decided she wanted to further her learning and so she has stayed on with us,

Nelliemay is now one of our Junior Stylist and will soon work her way up the ranks, She has a keen interest in hand stripping terriers.

Nellie was lucky enough to join us before the world went into turmoil and has accompanied us on a few dog grooming events and is keen to start competing herself one day soon.

Nelliemay owns 2 dogs herself and has a soft spot for all Bull Breeds, she also enjoys makeup artistry Aswell as dog grooming.
